As an example, we worked with a client that spent 4 hours each week sifting through large Excel spreadsheets to filter and categorise data. This not only took a skilled worker away from more valuable work, but also produced inadvertent reporting errors due to manual manipulation. We provided Excel training and through use of Pivot Tables the 4 hour task turned into a 2 minute task and was free of errors. Other examples include the development of macros to automate interactions between systems and conversion of data into meaningful reporting.
